Hello Negros Oriental
This post is about my first visits in Negros Oriental for a Dumaguete City wedding shoot as a backup photographer. My visit to Dumaguete is a mix of both work and pleasure. The first day was a letdown; I wasn’t able to visit one of Dumaguete’s tourist spot, the Lake Balinsasayao. What I did in the first day is take photos in the street and trying to feel if Dumaguete City a great place for vacation. My conclusion to that, I’m not sure. Why? The place is just weird for me. People riding in motorcycle don’t wear a helmet and there are not enough tourist spot.
On the 2nd day, we started the wedding shoot at Tierra Alta at 8:30am and end it very late at 10:00pm. It was a very long wedding. During the ceremony, the rain almost completely fall and thanks God it stops and we are able to continue our work without getting worried.
We the photo and video also had our bad experience during the reception while working on the same day edit, Tierra Café has a very bad customer service. One of the employees treated us so low and the way she talks is always like a tough person. She didn’t raise her voice, it just the tone is really bad. We ordered some foods so we can use the place and she even told us that the table was arrange as long table are not to be use by us and even using a very bad tone.
We also had our bad experience with the food that the coordinator has provided. The main coordinator knows what to serve but the assistants just gave us the same food since lunch that already has a bad smell. The assistant coordinators even whispering that, we, the video and photo suppliers are so picky with food. I and the main photographer know how the food smells bad because we both know how to cook.
On the third day, we now had our plan started to go to Bais City to watch some dolphins but the bad thing is there are no dolphins for us to enjoy. The boatman said that we came late and the wind is also not good. So what we did is just to stay for a short time at the sandbar. After our stay at Bais Sandbar, we head to another destination, and it’s the fish farm within a huge cove. And I also enjoyed taking photos of birds flying around.
