Osmeña Peak traverse to Kawasan
During the night at Osmeña Peak, it was really cold. Fog start to cover everything in the peak and sleeping in a non-plain ground is very uncomfortable because of rocks. We can’t find some other areas to sleep because we need a bigger space for the team and there are too many people camping.
When I woke up early in the morning at 5am, I open the tent and the place is covered with fog. I had to lie-down again because sunrise will be showing up by 5:45AM and when I came to realize, the type of sunrise I was expecting won’t be showing up in the right time. The fog is too thick and the visibility of sunrise will be around 6AM.

This is our camping ground and I had to use long exposure just to get a better exposure of the place.

One of my favorite photos of my adventure. I had to convert it to black and white for a minimal composite.
When the wind start cleaning-up the fog, the sun finally appeared in-front of me and people camping below are visible.

In this image, it’s where I miss a moment of two people at the center facing to the sunrise. The view was really nice, but with fix lens of 14mm, this what I compose.

One of my favorite photos I shot at Osmeña Peak. People are having selfies and taking photos of the sun when it started to show.

Another side of Osmeña Peak. This is where the part we had our trek in going up at the peak. This is also we traverse going to kawasan falls.

Almost time and start to pack-up our tent, cook food and ready for another trek in traversing to the next location.

The rock above has an elephant shape. There’s a view that the sun glows out at the mouth and make it really look like an elephant.
In these parts of the photos is where we start using our gastrocnemius muscle and foot when going down the mountains. I didn’t expect that it would be tiring because the moment I land my foot in the ground, I had to use some strength to balance my body or else, I will fall in the cliff.
All photos taken at Kawasan Falls are single exposure. No HDR or Digital Blending. I had to do it in single exposure because we were in a hurry to reach the road early to ride a bus.
On our way home, we already know that there won’t be any bus coming, especially from Ceres Liner because 150 buses from the company was rented for IEC event on that day. So we had to wait and thank God, someone made an offer for a 200 per head to ride a van and we were all able to go home!
